Housewifery
I got a taste of what it is like to be a housewife today...its pretty f*cking awesome. I woke up around 7:30, turned on the TV to see where in the world Matt Lauer was. He was in Capetown South Africa, which looks like a fun place now that apartheid is over. After my early morning rendevous with Meredith, Matt, Anne and Al, I met up with a friend in Newport Coast for breakfast at Pacific Whey, which was actually yummy...surprising I know. Usually their food sucks and the service is bad, but today it was above par...perhaps it was because I was a housewife today and they want to keep me coming back for breakfast. Who knows. After breakfast, I went to Banana Republic and bought some work clothes...I was the only one in the store buying work clothes, as housewifes have no need for that, so my cover was slightly damaged. After Banana I went to Target and spent an hour in the home section, it was lovely. My final stop was the mall, where it was housewifepalooza. I hung out there for awhile before hitting up Albertsons for tequila and margarita mix. I am thinking of making a pitcher and taking it across the street to the park to be enjoyed by all of the housewives on my street...but that might look odd since I have neither kids nor a dog to take to the park so clearly all of the housewives will think I am an alcoholic loser. So, here I am, alone, on my computer, dreaming of margis and counting down the minutes until 5:00. I start my new job on Monday and housewifery will become a distant memory.
